Adventure

I am deeply overwhelmed by a great curiosity for the unknown. To travel far far away, to know the world and to be known. Curiosity for a place where the skies are blue and the sunrise is in hues. A place with blue seas that bring an unending feeling, and big trees that lead on to a wonderful fielding. A place with sky high buildings and bright lights beaming, big city lights from New York to Paris to Beijing.  A place with majestic waterfalls, scenic canyons, the Pacific, the Red Sea, oh how I yearn to see. To see the blue of the Sea, the Oceans, the rivers and the streams.
I dream to pave a new path for myself, a path filled with love and wonder for the world. A path that leads to the Northern lights in Kakslauttanen ,then to the city of life that's Los Angeles. A long way down to Svalbard Norway to experience the magic of the midnight sun and then to Uruguay to embrace the warmth of the hot springs in Salto. I will thread further down to watch the beautiful sun set in Tuscany, to the picturesque beauty of The Hanging Gardens in Bali, then to Africa to feel the warmth, the depth of the Namibian breeze swish through my face and further down with love to mount Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti in Tanzania.
Never relenting in my lust for adventure, I promise to go miles and miles in search of you. I will dare to have a taste of death climbing the Mount Everest to find you. I will surf through the windbreakers of the most deadliest seas to find you. I will search night and day in the blizzards of Russia and in the sandstorms of the Sahara just to find you adventure. For truly, I am in awe of the world as it is, nature's most beautifully captivating creations, as i indulge my innermost environmental inspiration. I yearn to satisfy my inquisitive cravings of the world through the most amazing daring conquests of revelation and admiration of the divine creations of our Lord.

United, We Stand, Against Violence

We live in a society today where domestic and emotional abuse, sexual assault, trafficking and harassment, all against women, are the new normal. Where rape or any form of sexual violence against your wife is never considered a crime. Where you don't feel safe anymore, we don't feel safe anymore, even inside the comfort of our homes. Our bodies aren't really ours anymore, it's okay, a bit too okay to be violated. I would hate to conclude that the world we find ourselves in today hates women, but unfortunately the statistics don't lie. About " 1 in 3 women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime...". What an unsettling and disturbing statistic. The 1979 Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) was established to combat issues of this nature, but today, we're still consumed by all of it. Today, we still drown in crimes against the female population, and patriarchy has used its tape of...

Human Rights: The Story of the Poor

Where I come from, the terms human and right are nothing but a string of English words with little meaning. Two words that the poor illiterate man has no idea exist. The UDHR states that "all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights", but to what extent? To what effect? In Nigeria, it is to the extent of your social standing in life. Humanity has two faces in Nigeria; the rich and the poor. Thanks to Political greed, a grave dichotomy has been drawn between these two classes so much so that the rich have left the poor for dead. The question of equality and dignity for the poor is a rhetorical one. Human right is not for the poor, it is for those who are wealthy enough to afford it. Without a doubt, poverty is a crime in Nigeria. A crime punishable with injustice, incarceration, underdevelopment, stolen Government funds, poor health facilities, bad roads, hunger, lack of education, underachievement, poor living standards. Human rights mean nothing to the po...
